TAE Irish linen tea towel
A new version of an early design my best ever seller of all my work to date. I printed many hundreds of these TAE tea pot tea towels when I first started my print studio. They were very, very successful, many fabulous shops stocked them throughout Ireland and the tea towels have arrived in homes all over the world, some being used, some framed and hung on walls. (I am now printing editions of the design on paper for framing and putting on the wall - see the shop for the first edition of those).
The tea towels are designed to be used. The linen is woven by Thomas Ferguson in Co Down, it is an exquisite quality cloth. The prints all hand pulled by me in my studio near the shores of Strangford Lough also in Co Down. I've decided to reintroduce the print to my range and will make different iterations of it over the coming months and years. This season 2024, I have made this one, with the print on both sides, and love how the full print is visible when the towel is hanging over the cooker handle or a hook.
Please use the tea towel, it makes kitchen tasks a little less labourous and a little more of an irish cultural experience ;)
Next year there will be other versions of this print again, but if you want one of these, get it snapped up as I've only printed a very small run of them.
They are 70 x 40 cms, pre washed, ready for anything! (But as ever, don't tumble them, they prefer to line/hang dry - if you like a crisp linen use a hot iron). The towels will last years and years if you care for it correctly.
